Haverford first responders rely on SEPTA bus for safety
NExt time you’re watching an emergency situation unfold in Haverford, don’t be surprised if a SEPTA bus rolls up. For the low, low price of $1, the bus now belongs to the township’s department of emergency services.
SEPTA sold the retired bus to the township for $1.
The bus, as the Main Line Times reports, will be used to help emergency first responders warm up for cool down away from the elements as they battle hazardous conditions. It can also be used to get as many as 40 people away from a dangerous scene.
