Haverford abduction attempt was misunderstanding
A letter sent to parents of Chatham Park Elementary School in Haverford Thursday detailed an abduction attempt that turned out to be a misunderstanding.
As the Main Line Times reports, the fifth-grader who was approached Wednesday afternoon by an older couple in their car didn’t recognize the couple as neighbors.
Haverford Township police said neither the student nor the couple had bad intentions, and a miscommunication among parents resulted in the school district sending a letter home to parents.
