Harrah’s generates millions for Chester, Delaware County

Though Harrah’s slots revenues have dropped, its table games brought in $70.9 million in revenue in the first year and nearly $10 million in state taxes.

Only Bensalem’s Parx and Bethlehem’s Sands did better than Harrah’s, according to numbers from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on the state’s 10 casinos.

The Delaware County Times reports that amounts to $1.4 million for the City of Chester and Delaware County for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. Slot revenues brought more than $11 million to the city and county.
