Harlem Globetrotters shooting 4-point shots in South Philly

Because the Famous 4th Street Deli can’t just be known for its huge, tasty cookies and reputation as a political hangout, the Harlem Globetrotters are outside now taking some 4-point shots.

It’s all leading up to the Globetrotters’ five-game series in the area; they’ll be playing games in Philadelphia and Trenton all this weekend.

But the team needs an audience, of course. So students from St. Peter’s School will cheer on Big Easy Lofton and Buckets Blakes as they take 4-point shots from 35 feet away from the basket at Fourth and Bainbridge streets.

Every game on the Globetrotters’ “4 Times the Fun” tour will include a 4-point shot area on each side of midcourt.
