Happy New Year from the entire team of NewsWorks New Jersey. For the final day of 2012, we sent photographer Bas Slabbers to Atlantic City to capture the New Year’s Eve festivities.
It was a tough year for AC to say the least. Hurricane Sandy forced the casinos to close for four days as the city was placed under a mandatory evacuation order by the governor.
Atlantic City is trying to diversify its offerings with more retail, restaurant and entertainment options. Since all New Jersey residents have some stake in the future well-being of Atlantic City, let’s hope 2013 is a better year.
