Hamels Foundation leaving Center City for Bryn Mawr

The Hamels Foundation is packing up and moving to the Main Line.

Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels and wife Heidi are relocating their children’s education foundation to a space on Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr, the Main Line Times reports.

The new 3,000-square-foot space will house all the necessary offices, as well as a retail space that will give proceeds to the foundation. Also in the works? A primary school in an impoverished African village, and longer term plans for a high school and pre-school.
