Haitian amputees learn to live their former lives

    WHYY’s Susan Philips returned to Haiti a few days ago to follow up on her reports from Port-au-Prince last year. The one-year anniversary of the earthquake has slid past, but the resulting illness, poverty and political uncertainty lingers. Susan reports on what she’s seen today, including a 5-year-old amputee getting fitted for a new leg.
