Guy asks Justin Bieber to prom on YouTube
Glassboro High School is hoping Justin Bieber can make it to the school’s prom, and one student is doing everything he can to make sure the pop star can attend.
Junior Leon Purvis is going all out. He’s helping with the prom’s Never Say Never theme (named for Bieber’s recent tour), reaching out to his classmates and using social media to invite Bieber to the prom as a “bro.”
“I believe he deserves to be around normal kids, And, a lot of people say nothing ever happens here at Glassboro, so this would bring some excitement and something to look forward to,” Purvis told the Gloucester County Times.
Purvis created a YouTube video to spread the word, but the real test will be his Dec. 27 Twitter campaign. Starting at 12:10 a.m. that day, if enough people use #GuyAsksJustinBieberToPromOnYouTube in their tweets, the topic will be trending and everyone — including The Biebs himself — will be able to see it.
