Gusty winds, low temperatures expected Monday

After a New Year’s Day with temperatures in the 50s, winter today will feel much more like winter.

Phillywather.net expects temperatures to be in the 30s in most locations with wind gusts between 15-25 mph.

In Philadelphia, we could see temperatures reach 40 degrees for the midday hours before dropping later this afternoon.

A mix of clouds and sunshine will cover the sky for much of today, with more clouds in the afternoon.

The colder temperatures should be a welcomed sight for National Hockey League officials, who delayed today’s Winter Classic by two hours for weather reasons.
