Gun suicides outnumber homicides in Pennsylvania

    Gunfire takes the lives of nearly 1,400 Pennsylvanians each year. Public attention usually focuses on homicide-related deaths, which is why it may come as a surprise that the majority of gunfire deaths in the state are suicides.

    Public Source’s Jeff Benzing joined Newsworks Tonight’s Dave Heller to give some insight to the data and what some organizations are doing to try and lower those figures.
