Guidance counselor admits to alcohol charges, denies having sexual contact with student

A former guidance counselor from Valley Forge Military Academy denies she had sexual contact with students.

Symantha Hicks turned herself in yesterday after police issued a warrant on charges of supplying alcohol to minors and inappropriate contact with minors. But Hicks’ lawyer tells the Delaware County Times (with video) that accusations of sexual encounters were fabricated by students who face discipline for drinking.

Hicks has waived her preliminary hearing and will return to court next month.
