Group sends sick-day message to Nutter with giant tissue box

If at first you don’t succeed, send a giant box of tissues. That’s what the Coalition for Healthy Families and Workplaces is doing this morning. The supporters of Philadelphia’s paid sick days bill will follow up last month’s 10,000 postcards with more notes and a giant box of tissues.

“The postcards and letters with messages from Philadelphia residents urging passage of the Paid Sick Days Bill introduced by Councilmen Clarke and Greenlee and the tissue box symbolizes the real threat to public health posed by workers who go to their job sick,” reads a message from the group.

The bill remains tied up in City Council.
