Governor’s week of service starts

Governor Markell starts a ten-day long effort to encourage Delawareans to volunteer for service projects.

The Governor’s Week of Service is designed to coincide with Markell’s inauguration for a second term on Tuesday.  Markell will join First Lady Carla Markell for the first project of the week at the Laurel Boys and Girls Club.  Other projects include a statewide food drive at all Delaware State Service Centers.  More volunteer opportunities can be found on the Volunteer Delaware website.
