Google pays $1

    As Rich Lord reports for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a 21/2-year court battle against Google Inc. finally ended yesterday in a $1 consent judgment against the computer giant.

    A Franklin Park, Pa. couple sued the company when it travelled down their private drive to take pictures for its Google Earth feature.

    The say it wasn’t about the money, though. It was about the principle, and they’re happy with the ruling.
