Girl Scouts honor women in the General Assembly
The state’s women legislators will become honorary members of Girl Scout Troop 1912 today during a ceremony at Legislative Hall in Dover.
The goal of the honor is to encourage girls to see the lawmakers as role models and to address issues in the state that impact girls. The Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay serves about 15,500 girls in Delaware and on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia.
