Friends of Race Street Pier host a new First Friday event

The Race Street Pier is a newly opened waterfront park located at Race Street and Delaware Avenue.  This new park is one of the first public spaces to be realized as a part of the city’s ambitious master plan for the Central Delaware riverfront.  These are exciting times for the future of Philadelphia’s riverfront and we, the Race Street Peers, are a group of Philadelphians that have come together to build energy and excitement around the recently opened park.

We are excited to announce that, in conjunction with the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation and sponsored by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the Race Street Peers will be hosting a First Friday event at the park.  So, after you explore the galleries in Old City this coming First Friday, August 5th, be sure to take a stroll down Race Street to the new park. This is where the First Friday celebrations will continue with live music and food!

Date: August 5, 2011, Rain or Shine
Time: 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Location: Race Street Pier, located at the intersection of Race Street and N. Columbus Avenue.

Join us for food and live music! Bring your friends and introduce them to Philadelphia’s newest waterfront park!

If you have any questions about the event!, contact Bridget Keegan Barber directly by email or by calling (215) 898-6316.
