Free microchips available for Delco dogs

Nether Providence Township and the Delaware County Kennel Club are partnering up to provide free microchips to any Delaware County dog.

Delaware County dog owners are being invited to get their pets a state-mandated dog license and a microchip during a License and Microchip Clinic from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the Garden City firehouse, in Wallingford.

The Delaware County Kennel Club is donating the microchips for this event, which will be available to residents on a first-come, first-serve basis, while supplies last.

Small electronic chips, approximately the size of a grain of rice, will be implanted and tested on site.
