Former KYW Newsradio employee files lawsuit against owner

A former employee of KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia has filed a lawsuit against owner CBS Radio, alleging sexual harassment by men at the station.

Philly.com reports Shelley Kanther, who was the station’s director of marketing communications, is suing CBS Radio in federal court for allegedly subjecting her to sexual harassment and discrimination before firing her for speaking up.

Kanther’s attorney, Samuel First, tells Philly.com “it was egregious what happened. It was terrible.”

The lawsuit, according to Philly.com, describes a “toxic” work environment where male employees offered her money to make out with another worker and told her to wear skirts, among other allegations.
