Former girls soccer coach pleads guilty to underage sex charges

Former  girls soccer coach Vincent Mickle pleaded guilty today to charges filed against him last spring. Mickle faces more than 250 years in prison and will be sentenced Sept. 19.

The former coach for the Holy Terrors and Lighthouse Soccer Club was arrested in March 2010 for various counts of underage sex charges. Authorities determined Mickle had has sex with a 16-year-old girl, and had solicited many others for the same by using alcohol and marijuana. None of the girls he’s accused of interacting with were on his soccer teams.

He found his victims by posing as a teenage boy on the Internet. Charges include criminal solicitation to commit sexual acts with someone under age 16, criminal solicitation to commit statutory sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact with minors, corruption of minors and child pornography
