Following fatal shooting at Piazza, district attorney extends Community Action Center hours

A shooting at the Piazza early Monday morning has prompted the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office to extend its hours at the Northern Liberties Community Action Center.

Upper Darby resident Maurice Kimble was shot just after midnight, and an arrest has not yet been made.
“Members of the Community Outreach team at the DA’s office will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns that residents may have as a result of the shooting,” reads an entry on DA Seth Williams’ blog. “The office is also prepared to organize a community meeting with Tommy Up, the owner of the restaurant where the shooting occurred, to respond to neighbors concerns.”

The center will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Friday.
