First phase of Philly Live! to create 500 construction jobs
The first phase in a grand plan for an entertainment district near Philadelphia’s stadiums is expected to open in the spring and create 500 construction jobs.
Philly Live! calls for a 50,000-square-foot destination of shops, restaurants theaters and more for the stadium-goers. Built at the site of the former Spectrum, the development is also expected to create 400 permanent positions, the Philadelphia Business Journal reports.
What can we expect from Philly Live!? The “largest sports bar in America,” as Ike Richman of Comcast Spectacor told WHYY’s Peter Crimmins back in June.
