Fire forces evacuation of 30 people at Ocean City motel

    A small fire that sparked Tuesday night forced an Ocean City motel to evacuate 30 of its guests.

    According to WPVI-TV, the fire started around 9 p.m. Tuesday night at the Ocean Manor Motor Inn.

    Firefighters on scene said they managed to contain the fire to the motel’s utility room. Despite the containment, the fire still managed to cause electrical problems, which forced the 30 guests to have to find new accommodations.

    According to WPVI-TV, investigators believe a hot water heater may have caused the fire.
