Final meeting of Marcellus Shale advisory panel underway

Today marks the final meeting of a months-long panel session to examine recommendations for Marcellus Shale drilling.

The 30-member Marceulls Shale Advisory Commission is expected to meet all day today to debate and vote on dozens of recommendations after Pa. Gov. Tom Corbett tasked the commission with finding the best ways for the state to capitalize on natural gas drilling while containing environmental problems.
