Fiery crash kills man along I-95 in Del.

A 36-year-old man has died in a fiery crash on Interstate-95 in the Wilmington area.

Delaware State Police say the crash happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday. Investigators say it appears the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee lost control in the rain and went off the side of the road, struck a tree and burst into flames.

The driver was trapped inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash closed southbound I-95 for several hours after the crash. It has since reopened.
