Feed the Feed: Tracking local Facebook trends

Facebook lost six million users in May. Of course, the social networking site grew by 11 users during that same month, so the execs probably aren’t too worried about it.

But the report by Inside Facebook that Fox29 cites got us thinking: What are the most popular local Facebook pages and groups? Is there a business you think does a great job of keeping you informed on Facebook? Or maybe you just like “checking into” Lincoln Drive while you’re sitting in traffic.

Here’s a list of some local Facebook pages that caught our eye, if only for their wide reach or interesting subject nature:

New Jersey Teachers United Against Governor Chris Christie’s Pay Freeze
    Hunt for the Kensington Strangler
    Summer Olympics Philadelphia 2024
People against Philadelphia Eagles signing Michael Vick (DOG KILLER)!!
