Philly cheesesteak shop manager robbed of $30K

Authorities say a manager at a landmark Philadelphia cheesesteak spot was robbed of about $30,000 in cash receipts in broad daylight.

Police say the manager of Jim’s Steaks was carrying proceeds from the downtown eatery when he was accosted by an unarmed thief yesterday afternoon.

WPVI-TV reports the manager was knocked to the ground during the robbery but otherwise unhurt.

Investigators are trying to determine if any nearby surveillance cameras captured the robbery.
