Federal suit claims Greene aid misappropriated nonprofit funds

More details coming out of a federal suit examining the Philadelphia Housing Authority claim an aide to former PHA head Carl Greene misappropriated funds from Tenant Support Services, Inc.

Moreover, the suit alleges Greene and others were aware of the problem, but that employee remained on the job.

A thorough report from the Inquirer lays out the details: Asia Coney is accused of taking funds from the payroll account of the nonprofit, and a liason to Tenant Support Services says Greene asked Coney to sign an agreement to repay the money when she refused to relinquish control of the payroll, and as a way to avoid the bad press of an audit.
