Featherman gets local Tea Party PAC endorsement

Philadelphia Mayoral candidate John Featherman has scored only the second non-federal election endorsement ever given by the Independence Hall Tea Party PAC. (The first went to Allegheny county Executive candidate Patti Weaver, who has since withdrawn her name from the ballot).

PAC President Don Adams said the endorsement is a testament to Featherman’s intelligence and credibility and a message to the Republican City Committee that the PAC isn’t happy with the GOP’s support of Featherman’s opponent, Karen Brown. The PAC takes issue with Brown’s party switching. Up until recently, she was a Democrat.Featherman’s plans to eliminate the gross receipts tax and bid out all legally permissible city services are among the reasons behind the PAC’s support.
