Police, FBI seek information about Germantown bank robbery

Philadelphia police and FBI agents are searching for a man who robbed a bank in the Germantown section of the city on Friday.

At 4:50 p.m. Oct. 21, the unmasked suspect walked into a Citizens Bank branch at 6324 Stenton Ave., handed the teller a “threatening” demand note and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. It’s unclear what was written on the note.

The bank’s video surveillance system captured the man at the teller’s window and exiting the business. Police are looking for a medium built black man in his mid-30s, approximately 5-feet 7-inches tall.

Anyone with information relevant to the crime should contact the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000.
