Father takes the stand in Danieal Kelly trial

Daniel Kelly has taken the stand at the Criminal Justice Center to testify about the 2006 death of his daughter, Danieal Kelly.

WHYY’s Tom MacDonald is in the courtroom, where Kelly is expected to give his statement about the conditions in which his disabled daughter lived with her mother in West Philadelphia.

Danieal Kelly was found dead in 2006 inside her mother’s home after being neglected. Her mother is already serving out a prison sentence, but Daniel Kelly and two social workers also face charges.
