New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has signed legislation aimed at boosting sales of food products made with Garden State produce.

The measure signed Wednesday designates baked goods and other items prepared with homegrown fruit and vegetables as “Made With Jersey Fresh.”

It also encourages the state — as well as service areas along the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike and Atlantic City Expressway — to buy “Made With Jersey Fresh” products and promote them to customers.
