Family remembers Navy SEAL who died in helicopter crash

Michael Strange was a Northeast guy.

He lived here, went to school here and, as his aunt remembers, loved cheesesteaks and the Eagles.

Strange was killed Saturday in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan, where he was stationed as a Navy SEAL.

The Inquirer has a profile on Strange and the loving family he left behind. He and 29  other U.S. service members died in what the International Security Assistance Force Joint Command is calling the single deadliest encounter for U.S. troops since the war began.
