Falls of Schuylkill Library annual sale scheduled for Saturday, sneak-peek event Wednesday
The Falls of Schuylkill Library Branch will host its annual day-before-Mother’s-Day Spring Sale from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
An exclusive “dealers and friends members-preview [book] sale” from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday will afford guests first dibs; a public preview is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. that night. Those who aren’t Friends of the Falls of Schuylkill Library members can join at the door for $5.
Come Saturday, Spring Sale shoppers can pay $7 to fill a bag with books, CDs, DVDs and books on tapes. (Vintage books will be separately priced.) Anything not sold will be availble for free on Monday (noon to 6 p.m.) and Tuesday (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
“[The library was] lucky to receive such high quality, unique book, CD and DVD donations for our sale,” said Wendy Moody, who co-chairs the event.
The day will also feature sales of baked goods and plants including annuals, perennials and hanging baskets. Vegetable and herb plants will also be available.
For more information about the sale, or to volunteer on Saturday, contact Friends of Falls Library President Linda Koons at (215) 848-3185.
