Excessive heat warning extended through Sunday in Philadelphia

Record setting heat in Philadelphia is expected to continue through the weekend, prompting an Excessive Heat Warning to be extended through Sunday.

The heat warning will now be in effect through Sunday, 8 p.m.

The city’s “Heatline” is now in operation through midnight Saturday and Sunday night until 8 p.m.

You can contact the “Heatline” at 215-765-9040.

During intense heat, the city says several groups of people face health risks, including; the elderly, anyone with chronic medical conditions, pregnant women, small children, those who work in a high heat environment and anyone engaged in strenuous physical activity.
