Entries due Feb. 29 for annual Philly Chili Bowl

Chili cookers will throw it down in March, but anyone who thinks they’ve got the best chili recipe in encouraged to enter the Philly Chili Bowl as early as possible.

The last day to enter is Feb. 29, because March 3, 20 competitors will head to head in BigBite‘s third annual cook-off.

Competitors will spend the day cooking their recipes for sampling by guests and the judging panel of chefs and critics. Excess chili will be donated to Project HOME.

And yes, you can just buy a ticket if you’d rather stuff your face than whip up the required six quarts of chili.
