Enhanced risk of wildfire spread Sunday afternoon

    The National Weather Service has issued a bulletin advising of an enhanced risk of wildfire spread this afternoon.

    “Low relative humidity levels, gusty winds and dry fine fuels will create an elevated risk for the spread of wildfires […],” according to the Special Weather Statement issued by the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly. 

    A brush fire impacted an 11.5-acre area off Airport Road in Lakewood Saturday evening, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.
