Elderly woman attacked during a home invasion in Mayfair
It was just after 10:30 a.m. today when officials say a 94-year-old woman was tied-up, assaulted and robbed inside her home in the Mayfair section of the city.
According to NBC10, it happened on the 2800 block of Unruh Avenue.
“Investigators say the man forced his way inside the home with a syringe. The suspect then ran away with an unknown amount of jewelry.”
The attacker was described as 40-50 years old and wearing a brown jacket with fur around the hood.
The victim was taken to Torresdale Hospital. There’s no word yet as to her condition.
