The Auxiliary of Einstein Healthcare Network celebrated the 60th anniversary of its annual Harvest Ball Nov. 3 at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. The black-tie gala, which was attended by 500 guests, raised more than $1.1 million to support the new Bi-Plane Imaging Suite at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, an advanced 3-D imaging technology.

The evening honored long-time Auxilian and friend to Einstein, Ann Waldman, who has been involved with Einstein since the early 1980s, when her son, Glen, became critically ill. She feels enormous gratitude to the doctors who refused to give up. “Because of their skills and tenacity,” says Waldman, “after 14 days in a coma, my son returned home.” Today Glen is healthy and has children of his own.

In honor of the fundraiser’s diamond jubilee, Bernie Robbins donated a $10,000 diamond pendant that was raffled off.
