The man that was hospitalized early this morning after being taken from a residence in Lakewood is not suffering from Ebola, a state official said.

Authorities descended on a township condominium complex early this morning on a report of a Neptune resident with a high fever and vomiting, according to published reports.

    Both are symptoms of Ebola.

A New Jersey Department of Health spokesperson said in a statement that the man was being treated for a “non-contagious, travel-related illness,” adding that he had traveled in an Africa country that is not impacted by Ebola.
