Early morning fire on Ridge Avenue damages several businesses
An early morning fire in Roxborough has left several businesses with damage and is backing up traffic this morning.
The multi-alarm blaze began around 3:30 a.m. and spread across the shopping center on the 8900-block of Ridge Avenue before firefighters got the flames under control just before 5 a.m. One firefighter was hospitalized and the avenue was closed between Bells Mill Road and Manatawna Avenue.
