DUI checkpoints set up for Super Bowl Sunday

Down in Delaware, the State Police are cracking down on drivers who are under the influence of alcohol this Super Bowl Sunday. Patrols will be set up across the state, and particularly in the Newark area, in an effort to dissuade people from drunk driving.

NBC10 reports that the Delaware State Police had over 30 drunk driving arrests on last year’s Super Bowl Sunday.

It’s become so much of a problem that one Garden State company has even launched a smart phone app that offers designated driver services available in New York, northern New Jersey and Berks County Pennsylvania.

So take the hint – don’t drink and drive – arrive alive.
