Drug take-back event yields 12,000 pounds of pills in New Jersey

New Jersey has calculated its numbers from the weekend drug-take event. The state took in and disposed of 12,000 pounds of pills during Operation Take Back New Jersey.
The Gloucester County Times reports all of the county’s law enforcement agencies participated in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day event, in which people could drop off their prescription drugs, no questions asked, to prevent the medication from ending up in the wrong hands.
