Drug raid in Atlantic City leads to discovery of 2 alligators

Officers with the Atlantic City Police Department raided a home expecting to find drugs – but left with two alligators.

The two small alligators were discovered during a drug raid in the home of a suspected drug dealer on Pennsylvania Avenue.

According to the Associated Press, the alligators will be turned over to state wildlife officials.  The alligators each were about one-and-a-half to two feet long.

In addition to the alligators, officers managed to find a pound of marijuana and more than $2,600 in cash, according to the Associated Press.
