Drop-off unwanted prescription meds for safe disposal

The DEA is collecting all unwanted or expired medications today, across the country.

In an effort to keep prescription drugs out of the reach of abusers and to protect the country’s water supply, drop-off locations have been set up today, April 28, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m, in all 50 states.

During last year’s drug take-back initiative, Americans forfeited more than 188 tons of unwanted or expired medications for proper disposal.

To find a disposal site near you, use the DEA Office of Diversion Control’s Collection Site Locator.
