Drop off old paint cans, pesticides, and paint thinner for proper disposal

    The Streets Department is organizing a Hazardous Waste Drop-off event today, May 19, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in West Philadelphia. Representatives will be set up at the 1st District Highway Yard, at 4800 Parkside Avenue, near Belmont.

     

    According to West Philly Local, residents are encouraged to drop off household products labeled as toxic, flammable, corrosive, and reactive to the Streets Department colection location. Old computers and monitors are also being accepted. Other items include:

    Old batteries Paint Glue Cleaners Moth balls Pesticides Antifreeze Gasoline Paint Thinner Drain Cleaner Pool Cleaner Chlorine bleach
