A fire ripped through a Jersey Shore mobile home Friday night, killing five dogs and injuring the homeowner, police say.

Firefighters arriving to the Kingfisher Way residence in Ocean County’s Manchester around 9:30 p.m. discovered a fully engulfed structure, according to a Manchester Police Department press release.

The first responders ordered the evacuation of the surrounding homes. One suffered some minor damage.

The house where the fire sparked has been deemed uninhabitable. The homeowner, who police have not identified, suffered a burn on her hand.
