Dog found locked in crate in horrific conditions in South Jersey

An American Bulldog was found in the basement of a Wenonah Borough locked in a small crate covered in his own feces and urine and littered with fleas.

NBC10 reports the dog was discovered last week after a Deptford Police Officer responded to a complaint at the home on Vassar Road.

The dog, named “Hercules,” was found to be malnourished and dehydrated.

NBC10 says he was removed by Gloucester County Animal Control and given emergency medical treatment at Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital.
