Plane pain

Passengers on a flight to Phoenix had an unscheduled pit stop in Pittsburgh when a dog on board got loose and bit a passenger and a flight attendant.

The US Airways flight left Newark, N.J., on Monday morning, reports 6abc.com, and the dog, which was in a carrier, was let out by its owner. The severity of the injuries to the passenger and attendant were not known, and the decision to land in Pittsburgh was made to make sure everyone was OK, said an airline spokesman.

US Airways said it planned to get passengers back in the air and heading west as soon as possible.
