Do you recognize this man? Police in Brick say he’s a burglary suspect

Police in Brick are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man who they say is a burglary suspect.

An unknown man entered a dwelling on the 200 block of Sky Manor Boulevard in the township from the ground floor bedroom window on Tuesday and was confronted by a female resident, Sgt. Henry J. Drew said in a release.

The man identified himself as “Dave” and said that he was at the residence to drop off money to the woman’s father, Drew said.

“It appears that the suspect may have known one of the home’s occupants,” he said.

After being confronted by the woman, the man left the dwelling through the front door, according to the release.

The man, described as white with a thin mustache, is approximately 40 years old, between 5-feet, 8-inches and 5-feet, 11-inches tall, and about 140 pounds, Drew said.

Police also said that the man, described as wearing blue jeans, a green lightweight jacket, and an unknown color baseball cap, was operating a large, dark blue four-door pickup truck, adding that the man left the area heading south on Sky Manor Boulevard.

Det. Brian Farnkopf and Det. Michael Bevacqua of the Brick Township Police Detective Bureau are investigating. Anyone who believes that they may recognize the subject in the sketch is asked to contact Det. Farnkopf at (732) 262-4611 or Det.
