District says it needs more information for cheating investigation

    And the answer is…

    There is no answer.

The School District of Philadelphia said today it’ll need more information to determine whether there was cheating on the district’s 2009 standardized tests.
Philadelphia is one of 49 districts in the state the Department of Education required to conduct internal investigations into whether higher test scores had been achieved through cheating. The deadline to submit those investigation findings was today.

The Associated Press reports the state will review the findings before taking further action. NewsWorks will have more details from today’s announcement later.
